I don't visit the seaside town Sausalito much, I'm usually on the way somewhere when I cross the Golden Gate Bridge, no time for detours. I've visited it more often by taking the ferry from San Francisco.

A boat leaves the ferry dock area for San Francisco.

The water had a silver-blue glow in the morning. In the distance is the Bay Bridge, plus Alcatraz. To the left is Treasure Island, once a US Navy base but now the property of San Francisco.

A seagull passes the flagpole at a sailing club.

A view from the shore near Dunphy Park.
A couple of rowers approach. I'm not sure I'd like to row a shell backwards, but I suppose with enough experience, the rowers learn how to twist their heads 180 degrees.

The peace was shattered, however, by a case of needless animal violence. Notice the big stuffed doll.

A lady was walking her dog, who took an interest in the doll, and a bite.
The doll never had a chance, it bites the dust.
The woman separates the dog and the doll, sending each to their corners. I thought she had maybe staged the episode for her own camera, but it was clear she had just been walking the dog.

The dog finally noticed me a moment later and asked for an independent opinion, "How did I do?"
