Elise

I was passing through Berkeley yesterday when I spotted a silver sports car at the curb. It reminded me of a couple of cars, such as the old Toyota MR2, but the emblem on the wheels was LOTUS. Was this a new Lotus?

This is the Lotus Elise, and I have since learned the model line isn't new at all. The Elise was introduced by Lotus in the 1990s, and has been updated every few years. I first heard of Lotus way back in the 80s, one of their cars was used in a James Bond movie, but I didn't keep up with the company. The models I was familiar with, the Esprit and the Elan, were discontinued years ago.
